the stranger

And there he stood. The stranger.
As familiar to me as my own blood and bones.
More known to me than any man I knew.
I tried to smile.
So did he.
But we didn't.
We exchanged a lifetime in a few certain moments.

imaginary friends

actors, in Imaginary Friends

the only story

True love.
That's the quest.
That's the only quest.
That's what makes life meaningful,
gives it narrative:
it's the only story there is.

counterpart

actor, in Imaginary Friends

we yearn for our counterpart

We yearn for our counterpart, to make us whole,
we are restlessly driven from love to love,
in order to be complete.
It's the Holy Grail,
that will heal our hearts,
the visionary chalice,
our redemption.

From our play Imaginary Friends, first performance Friday February 3.

symbology

actors, in Imaginary Friends

that truth

And in that truth the world becomes different. Dreams are now normal; language outdoes itself; all the poems turn out, however unlikely, to be true. Paradox is the new normality.

From our play Imaginary Friends, first performance Friday February 3.
