Printing in the Library

The printers listed above are either dot matrix or ink jet and are mainly used to produce draft quality copies.

For laser quality there are 3 dedicated laser printers in the reprographic centre on the ground floor of the main library and they require printing cards to use them.

Printing card prices are: £1, £3 and £11 which have units for printing. The laser printer requires 3 units per page. The issued card carries the number of units listed below:

£1 - 30 units

£3 - 110 units

£11 - 400 units

Unformatted 3.5" disks cost about 80p each and are available from the reprographic information Centre.

2. ASTON WEBB BUILDING, rooms 1, 2, & 3

Go in through the main door, turn left, go down the stairs: these rooms are on the ground floor.

This is a bookable teachable resource to gain instruction and knowledge for beginners. It is also open to any undergraduate when not in use for teaching. The machines are available 24 hours a day, so if you go there at some unlikely hour you are fairly sure of a machine.

Aston Webb 1: 45 machines

Aston Webb 2: 20 machines

Aston Webb 3: 18 machines

Printers are available, but use is discouraged due to the volume of people on courses.

3. MASON HALL:

16 machines all connected to the High speed Campus network. Laser printer available. In order to use the facilities you must be a member of the hall and pay a deposit of £20 to gain password and access.

4. ELMS ROAD:

8 machines connected to the High Speed Campus Network are located on the ground floor. Printing available. Card system in situ- - £1 for 14 sheets and £5 for 99 sheets.
