Please get help

In the Department Handbook it says:

William Palmer, our Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow, is available for two and a half days in the week for individual consultations on all aspects of academic and professional writing (but not your poems or your latest novel, please). And for really basic problems (spelling, punctuation, those damned apostrophes) Gwyneth Fox holds a weekly surgery. See their doors or noticeboards for days and times.

This is a really useful resource, and if I have checked 'get help' on your feedback, in my view you could really benefit from it. Even if not, take along your essay with my comments on it to one or both of these helpful people, show it to them, and see what they say. If they disagree with me, fine; if not, then they can help you.

William Palmer is in the room at the top of the English corridor on the right and there is a signup list on his door. Gwyneth Fox is in Westmere. Do not be intimidated by this building (it's on the right, halfway between the University and the Vale site, on Edgbaston Park Road, as you walk towards the Vale). Just go in and find her room. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you were to email her, also: gwyneth@cobuild.collins.co.uk
