Typing

It's much better to type; if you can't, you really should learn. Here are the reasons.

• It makes life so much easier for the examiner, so that he/she can take in what you're saying much better.
• This leads to better marks. Yes, all studies have shown that (not consciously on the part of the examiner) typed essays get better marks than untyped ones.
• You can type far faster, for far longer, than you can write.
• If you can type competently you can always get a temporary job.
• All jobs now require computer skills, and the way to communicate with the computer is via a keyboard.

Really you would be very foolish not to acquire this essential skill. There are typing tutors on all the computers on the campus. Just spend one hour a day learning, and in two or three weeks you will be competent. That's all it takes.
